We thought it was vulgaris, but we must’ve been confused. Other sources suggested… never mind, we’ll ask the local gardening group and… Passiflora suberosa it is.

It’s a relative of the passion fruit (lilikoi), but this is not considered edible except by birds, perhaps, who scatter its seeds. Still, its flowers and hanging fruit are pleasing enough. If it threatens something we’ve planted, we pull it free of its entanglements — until next time.
