Nature Nurture

“I think that I shall never see…” It’s only a cliché until we finally see a tree. Really see it. Maybe even that tree, if we’re fortunate — the one Annie Dillard wrote about.

It’s not only trees, of course. The natural world is filled with this, what… mana? Whatever you name it, it can stop us in our tracks. It shivers our timbers, it can bring us to our knees.
